Yesterday Pete competed in a triathlon in Elwood (on the bay in Melbourne). Mae and I were a great support crew – up at 5:55am. Yikes. And yes I had my first coffee before Pete had finished the three legs…
It is a great sight, this many fit people – swimming, riding, running. Although a few (not very elite) men do take it a little too seriously for their ability! It did however encourage me to try to get a little fitter myself…
The day finished with a mini-triathlon for 7-10 year olds (on their BMXs!) so cute, but I was busy chasing a crawling Mae around and so didn’t snap any photos.
What was most amazing was watching everyone swimming with these huge ships coming in and out of the bay behind them. Very strange combination.

Thanks Madge (it was pretty fun) and thanks again for hosting.
that’s a huge accomplishment! also love the idea for the littler athlete version, how cute!
Maybe in 7 years I can sign my daughter up…!
Great shots! You definitely are a good support crew waking up before 6AM.
Thanks Meg. I wish I was fit enough to compete!
I have so much respect for people who can compete at this level! Great photos.
I know, its amazing isn’t it! Thanks for visiting.
Good on Pete for doing another triathalon, loved the shoes photo
Isn’t the shoe photo great. Makes my shoes look tiny…!
What lovely captures of a great day!! I have been support crew before, and it is a lot of WORK!! What a lucky guy to have you both cheering him on.
Thanks Laurie. I had fun doing it.
